Abstract

This report focuses on the results of the planting plan developed by the Beneficial Uses Group (BUG) for its Demonstration Marsh. It incorporated plant species similar to those found in reference marshes. Plant species were selected based on survivability in the prevailing climate with minimum care and resistance to serious diseases or insect pests. The purpose of this planting plan was to determine which planting spacing and propagule type was most effective, considering both performance and costs, for obtaining at least 60% plant cover by the end of the second growing season.
