Abstract

The US Army Corps of Engineers entered a new era following passage of the Water Resource Development Act of 1986. The act's non-federal cost-sharing provisions required focus on an entirely different manner of doing business. We are finding new and innovative ways to manage water resources projects, and reduce costs to American taxpayers and our partners in local and state governments. This booklet is one of a series detailing water resources programs in the 50 states and US possessions.
