Abstract
This study focuses on polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) contamination of benthic sediments generated from multiple development wells in a shallow (<25 meter), moderate-energy marine environment where dispersion of the discharged material is limited. This study was undertaken in order to (1) determine if levels of contamination at the platform site selected are greater than those reported for nearby coastal sediments and (2) provide quantitative PAH distributions around an offshore platform.
