Abstract

The primary responsibility of the MMS Resource Evaluation Program is to investigate the mineral potential of the OCS and to assure the receipt of fair market value for these resources. In this regard, MMS is fortunate to have entered into a useful and productive relationship with the Association of American State Geologists (AASG)....This Third Continental Margins Symposium offers participating coastal State geological surveys the opportunity to present and discuss the results of recent projects completed under the cooperative agreement and provides a sampling of MMS and industry activities in particular coastal and offshore areas. We appreciated the participation of the coastal State geological surveys in the Continental Margins Program as well as the industry representation at this symposium.
