Abstract

Central Gulf of Mexico Lease Offering (April 1984) and Western Gulf of Mexico Lease Offering (July 1984) are considered separate porposals in accordance with the Department of the Interior's Final 5-Year OCS Oil and Gas Leasing Schedule (July 1982). All unleased blocks are included in the offerings consisting of approximately 39.8 million acres of Central Gulf of Mexico Lease Offering (April 1984) and 34.5 million acres for Western Gulf of Mexico Lease offering (July 1984). Basic assumptions, estimates, and development scenarios for impact analyses of the proposed OCS oil and gas development are presented in Section IV.A.
