Abstract

A series of water quality studies were conducted on the upper Trinity River during 1985-86, constituting Phase I of a long-term TWC-USEPA cooperative investigation into the causes of episodic fish kills. The studies were based on the findings of an extensive historical data review described by Davis (1987). The main objectives were to further characterize instream conditions that induce fish kills, and begin to identify and quantitate responsible sources of pollutants.
