Abstract

The marsh clam, R. cuneata, was collected from Trinity Bay, Chambers County, Texas, USA, over a 1-yr period and analyzed by GLC for whole body residues of the chlorinated hydrocarbon insecticide, dieldrin. Dieldrin residue levels show seasonal fluctuations, being lower in the fall and early winter and increasing to higher levels during the spring.
