Abstract

Texas A&M's Center for Marine Training and Safety proposes to conduct a ship simulation study of large tanker transits, turning and mooring in Sabine, Texas, in order to assess the navigation safety and accessibility of terminal sites to large, deep laden, tank vessels. This proposal is based on evaluating critical vessel transit and maneuvering issues as identified by personnel from the Sabine Pilots.
