Nutrient Inputs to Galveston Bay and Upcoming Criteria Considerations

This paper will include a review of the Galveston Bay nutrient load information that has been developed for the present conditions, and the trends in nutrient loads that we now see taking place. This information will be placed into the context of what the loads may have been like prior to the large-scale arrival of European man. This will then be discussed in the context of the criteria setting process. EPA's ecoregion-based method will be briefly reviewed, along with other approaches being employed by TCEQ for lakes and reservoirs.
