Abstract

The uptake and depuration of trace organic contaminants by oysters (Crassostrea virginica) including polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and butyltin species were examined in this study. Transplantation experiments were used to examine these two aspects of bioaccumulation.
