Public and User Group Members

This report presents the findings of a questionnaire-type study conducted for the Barataria-Terrebonne Estuary Program (BTNEP) on area residents and various user groups of the Barataria-Terrebonne estuary. The intent of this study was to determine the relationship of this segment of the population to the estuary, their existing knowledge base concerning the estuarine system and its problems, their environmental attitude, and how their help may potentially be incorporated into a management plan. Several action recommendations generated by this survey are discussed.
