Abstract

Sea grasses in populated areas of Australia are in danger. Proper management is necessary to protect these areas, and the government is being asked to help. Aerial surveys and remote sensing are being used to measure these regions, and smaller scale monitoring has been implemented by means of baseline measurement. This article discusses these methods. Temporal and spatial variability considerations are highly encouraged. Methods from other regions in Australia and abroad are examined.
