Abstract

This report briefly summarizes the purpose of the Beneficial Uses Plan developed by the Beneficial Uses Group (BUG), the approach used by BUG, the general features of the plan, and its expected benefits. It then gives results of the site surveys for the various dredge placements selected by the plan, as well as details on each of the selected erosion protection methods and any environmental considerations as they apply to the marsh design criteria. The demonstration marsh results are presented, along with recommendations for the construction and monitoring/management of the large-scale marsh creation intended by BUG.
