Abstract
Since establishment in 1983 of a transplanted Spartina alterniflora marsh located on 20 acres of recently deposited dredged material at Chocolate Bay, Texas, the created marsh and a control marsh have been monitored and compared qualitatively and quantitatively. Results of the 1988 monitoring indicate that the transplanted marsh is well established, with quatitative measurements greater than those of the control marsh.
