Abstract

This document constitutes an initial draft of only a portion of the contents of the developing Galveston Bay Plan, a Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) addressing the entire estuarine ecosystem. The Plan consists of fifteen action plans, eleven of which directly address estuarine problems identified by consensus. These problems include: habitat protection, species population protection, public health protection, freshwater inlfow, spills/dumping, and shoreline management. Four additional action plans support the listed managemnet initiatives with monitoring, data management, research, and public participation activities.
