Cholera epidemiology in developed and developing countries: new thoughts on transmission, seasonality, and control

100 years after the pioneering work of Robert Koch, cholera continues to puzzle epidemiologists and to defy the control measures of numerous governments. We propose a new model of cholera epidemiology which is consistent with present knowledge and amenable to verification with research.
