Abstract

ARCO Petroleum Products Company's Houston Refinery is a large integrated refinery complex with a nameplate processing capacity of 233,000 barrels per day. Processing units at the Refinery include Crude units, Catalytic Reforming units, a Fluid Catalytic Cracking unit, a Delayed Coker, Light Ends and Aromatics units, and other associated units. The Refinery was built by Sinclair Oil. A 700 acre site on the Houston Ship Channel was purchased in 1918
