Abstract

These exercises have been developed to enable users to familiarize themselves with the operations of the Computer Mapping and Analysis System (Cmas) Gulf of Mexico Shrimp Harvest Data Base Prototype. This is a cooperative effort between the National Marine Fisheries Center, Galveston Laboratory, and the Strategic Assessment Branch of the National Ocean Service. Each exercise steps the user through all important computer prompts. Some prompts are not included to save time and space (e.g., computer often prompts, Is this correct?'), and many default responses are not explicitly noted. The exercises are designed to take the user through sequentially more complex, and hopefully more interesting, system operations.
