Abstract
This study was series of experiments performed on Mugil cephalus to determine the effects of exposure to a sub-acute dosage (0.016 ppm) of parathion on locomotor orientation in response to flow. No effect of the sub-acute dosage of parathion on locomotor orientation was found; however, the fact the Mugil cephalus does exhibit a response to flow was affirmed. It appears that the flow sensing threshold of Mugil cephalus is greater than a flow rate of 78.32 ml/second but less than or equal to a mean flow rate of 156.64 ml/second.
