Abstract

Waves generated by ships have been accused of causing shore erosion along the northwest shore of Galveston Bay. Wind-generated waves are also contributing to the erosion problem. The purpose of this investigation was to determine to what degree ship-generated waves are contributing to shore erosion compared to the effects of wind-generated waves.
