Abstract

The purposes of this report to the Governor and the 71st Legislature are to present the results of the Department programs for research and monitoring of five finfish species and to review Commission regulations and legislative acts for management of the finfish resources. Trends in abundance and harvesof spotted seatrout, red drum, black drum, sheepshead, and southern flounder are presented since these are among the most economically important saltwater finfishes.
