This research examined two different testing procedures for measuring the electromagnetic interference in a communication receiver in a motor vehicle . The procedures were analyzed , compared , and their differences were examined . The research found that by modifying one of the test procedures , the agreement between the two tests improved .
The research also revealed the usefulness of an average detector in the estimation of one noise in the presence of other noises . This led to development of a prototype of an auxiliary testing procedure . The auxiliary testing procedure takes advantage of the reduction in ambient noise level . This prototype gave good results when tested in both laboratory and practical vehicle tests . |
