Abstract

Prefabricated component parts can be used to design a church facility that is not only inexpensive, but also endows a sense of spirituality. The facility is a church that will accommodate 100 - 150 people. In addition to the chapel, the facility will house offices, a lobby, a kitchen, and storage.

Design a building for a church that is in the early stages of development. The building will use minimal economic expense to create a church that becomes the vehicle to evoking spirituality. The church as a facility has become commonplace. Many different denominations are building churches throughout cities. In most cases, these churches are built with little or no concern for spirituality in space.

The design of churches using prefabricated metal buildings has removed the church from the category of being an extraordinary building, as was the case in European history, to becoming average architecture. Great architecture can be done using inexpensive means.
