Abstract: Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC ) is a lightweight cellular building material . In Spring 2008 , an experimental study was conducted at The University of Texas at Austin to evaluate the load -deflection behavior and capacity of six different factory -reinforced AAC lintel groups . The results the test program are used to evaluate the shear design provisions of ACI 523 .4R “Guide for Design and Construction with AAC Panels” .
