Abstract
Specific variation patterns occur in the timing and intensity of flowering in the Posidonia australis and Zostera capricorni sea grass species. This article describes these patterns and attempts to determine their relationship to associated seasonal water temperature changes. The close proximity of the organisms and their synchronous dispersal in sexual activity are key factors to their success.
