This video was produced in cooperation with the U.S. Coast Guard and explains the Coast Guard's responsibilities in protecting the Gulf from pollution caused by fishing vessels. These responsibilities include prevention, preparedness, enforcement, and responsiveness. The video explains regulations involving the MARPOL Annex V laws as they pertain to ocean going and non-ocean going vessels. The video describes Coast Guard laws for inspections, waste disposal, dockside exams, and violations and penalties. |
