Abstract
This paper is one of the first to explain Texas - Florida species and subspecies pairs based on a theory involving populations withdrawing southward during Pleistocene glacial advances. When South - Central; United States was too cold for these species, they were isolated in Florida and Texas where some diverged genetically.
