Abstract
Standard travel cost modeling techniques are employed using individual visitor data for Island Beach State Park, New Jersey. Several model specifications are estimated using linear and semi-log functional forms. Impacts on estimated consumer surplus values of including the opportunity cost of travel time, elimination of model outliers and method of calculating consumer surplus were also evaluated.
