Abstract

Officials from eight federal, state and local agencies have selected 17 sites in Galveston Bay where dredge spoils from the proposed deepening and widening of the Houston Ship Channel could be used. Critics are calling the plan a PR gimmick using marinas to sell the controversial project to the public.
