Abstract
Modelling the diffusion of chemicals through bays and estuaries from local sources is of increasing importance. An electrical analog model is described that can incorporate the geometry of the system studied and yield fluxes and concentration contours. For purposes of illustration, the model is applied to two problems. The first is a geometrical simple model whose known analytic solution provides a verification of the method, while the second is that of the effluents of a copper smelter proposed for the marshlands of Galveston Bay
