Abstract

The mammalian fauna of the Gulf of Mexico consists of the manatee, the West Indian seal, and various cetaceans. In this account repetitions of keys and anatomical descriptions are omitted. An attempt has been made to include only information relating specifically to occurrence and distribution of marine mammals in the Gulf of Mexico.
