Abstract
This Water Quality Management Plan for the Trinity River Basin has been developed to satisfy certain requirements of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act as amended in 1972, as explicated in the regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency regarding water quality management plans (40 CFR 131), and implemented by the State of Texas Continuing Planning Process. The purpose of this Basin Plan is to provide the information the Texas Water Quality Board will need to make centralized coordinated water quality management decisions; to provide the strategic guidance for developing the State Water Quality Management Program and to encourage water quality objectives which take into account overal State policies and programs.
