Title: Data report: dye tracing and hydrographic sampling, Houston Ship Channel, 14-19 September 1976
Author: Espey, Huston and Associates, Incorporated
Abstract: During the period 14-19 September 1976, an extensive set of hydrographic observations was performed in the Houston Ship Channel. These consisted of the following: (i) fluorescent dye release at the mouth of the Channel, and tracing of the plume from Morgan's Point to the San Jacinto, (ii) salinity profiles at principal stations, (iii) current velocity profiles at principal stations, (iv) occasional temperature/DO soundings at principal stations. The purpose was to measure various hydrodynamic processes that contribute to dispersion in the Channel.
