An interesting association of fishes.

Twenty-three species of freshwater and marine fishes were seined out of a recently drained rice canal in Chambers County, Texas. The marine species must have been drawn through the pumps from the Trinity River when they were much smaller, and then grew in the mainly fresh water canal.
