Abstract
The effect of dredging on water quality is discussed, with emphasis on the source of organic sludges dumped into the Houston Ship Channel Sediment deposition, waste loading and BOD5 rates were determined, and the runoff from the sludge spoil area was analyzed. Benthal decay was also examined.
