Abstract
Joseph Grady Hill (1911-1993) was the senior editor of the San Angelo Standard Times for 48 years, executive secretary to Congressman O. Clark Fisher from 1943-1944, and active in the Texas Wildlife Foundation. The majority of the collection is composed of correspondence, most of which date from 1946-1948. Correspondents include former Senator Lloyd Bentsen, Former Representative from the San Angelo area O.C. Fisher, and former Senator and President of the United States Lyndon Baines Johnson, as well as minimally some correspondence related to Grady’s private life. The collection also contains newspaper articles, most written by Grady or about Grady or the Texas Wildlife Federation, and photographs, which pertain to wild game, motor boats, and the building of the Lake O.C. Fisher dam in the 1950s. The collection also includes Grady’s military records and miscellaneous information about his various clubs.
